Over the next few open mics we'll be exploring your involvement in music production and performance. Hopefully we'll hear a few good stories along the way! We'll start with this question: Have you ever busked?
Each week we open our mic to readers and lurkers alike to come out of the woodwork and tell us your thoughts and opinion, your experiences and mistakes, what you love and what you hate. We want to hear from you, and here’s your chance.
Wikipedia defines busking as "Street performance or busking is the practice of performing in public places for money." But I'm happy to include your experiences even if you didn't make money.
Have you ever played music in a street, park, shopping center or mall? Tell us about your experiences, and how you enjoyed it. Did you make any money? Was it a one-off experience, or something you do often?
What is the most unusual place you have busked? What gave you the idea of busking there?
And please tell us about your best and worst experiences busking. We'd love to share your joy - and pain!
