Description of the track:
I'm producing this track for a singer/songwriter named Julianne Hansen. It's part of a 5 track EP that is predominantly indie folk, but this track in particular is a throw back to a doo-wop style.
All the instruments and lead vocals were recorded on AKG perception 420 dynamic microphone, which was running through a Zoom R16 Mixer into a 27inch iMac running Logic Pro. The back up vocals were recorded remotely with vintage gear.
Right now I'm mixing the EP, and I'm looking for suggestions on how to balance the track, give it more of a retro feel (while not making it out of place with the other modern sounding tracks) and what I could do to open the song better.
