We've all seen how you can morph one face into another in the graphical world. In this screencast Rishabh Rajan shows us how to achieve the same thing with audio using Pro Tools.
Morphing is a concept well known to users of Native Instruments' now out of production synth, 'Kore 2' as well as Reaktor and FM8. Its where one sound seamlessly transforms into another. I have discovered a way to do the same using plugin automation in Pro Tools.
Normally this would be quite tedious with automating multiple parameters but there is a not too well known feature in Pro Tools called 'Glide Automation' which can be used to create this morphing effect really quick and on any plugin that can be automated.
